  
              When Banksy takes over.
Amsterdam. Oh, Amsterdam. AmsterDAMN. (that one's never been done before). A weekend covered by gray skies and intermittent showers puts zero damper on how amazing this city is. This was the first major European city (other than Paris, of course) that I've returned to for a second time, and I couldn't be happier. Granted the first time I spent most of the time a bit... preoccupied... this time, we focused on exploring the city and getting to know the narrow cobble-stoned streets and narrow buildings. Amsterdam is a destination straight out of Instagram. With infinite hole-in-the-wall, atelier and concept store-style boutiques, pop-up shops, trendy restaurants, and bikes locked up next to the picturesque buildings or on the bridges that link one street to the next over the canals that weave around the city, every step is a photo-op. But there was more art going on in Amsterdam than in the photography medium - Banksy had taken over the MOCO Museum in an exposition alongside Salvador Dalí. Bansky is a genius. His brilliant, dark, hopeful, tragic, and real and he evokes all of this behind the façade of anonymity. Someone that the world can't put a face to has the ability and the power to spark a worldwide conversation on international relationships, commercialism, and the current world we are living in. It's incredible. Laugh now, but one day we'll be in charge.
